Optimae Home Health Services provides home health care services that allow our customers to continue living in their home while receiving medical care. We offer skilled nursing and home health aides, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy.
Skilled nurses provide comprehensive care in areas including medication instruction and management including injections, surgical aftercare, wound care, disease management and self-care for chronic conditions and catheter care.
Home health aides provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, skin care, home exercise, bowel program assistance and light meal preparation.
Homemaker services are offered in southeast Iowa. Homemakers provide companionship, socialization and light housekeeping that includes meal planning and preparation, personal errands, laundry and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
Optimae Home Health Services also offers a range of therapies:
- Occupational therapy: Assess and implement treatment plans to work towards improved home safety and increased independence with activities of daily living. If you need prolonged treatment: Optimae’s Rehabilitation Services team in Central Iowa is skilled in supporting mental health needs by providing evaluation and supports with emotional regulation, coping mechanisms, daily home management techniques and substance abuse cessation goals.
- Physical therapy: Implement specialized treatment programs based on an individualized assessment of patient goals for post-injury recovery, pain management, ambulation/balance/mobility/endurance as well as post-hospitalization recovery programs.
- Speech therapy: Utilize individual assessments to address difficulties with swallowing, cognition, aphasia and communication disorders.

Optimae home health operates in a 22-county region in Central and Southeastern Iowa. Counties served in Central Iowa include Jasper, Polk, Story, Dallas, Marion, Boone, Marshall, Madison and Warren. We serve Iowa, Johnson, Muscatine, Louisa, Keokuk, Washington, Mahaska, Jefferson, Henry, Des Moines, Wapello, Davis, Van Buren and Lee counties in Southeastern Iowa.
