Sept. 10, 2021 (FAIRFIELD) – Optimae LifeServices announced today it has earned a three-year, full accreditation from the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals for its employee training program.
The training program, led by Knowledge Acquisition and Transfer Coordinator Molly Mackey and Regional Knowledge Acquisition and Transfer Specialist for Central Iowa Bonnie McHugh, provides employees with skills related to the direct care of individuals with disabilities. In evaluating the program, members of the NADSP review team praised Optimae for its commitment to current trends, best practices, ongoing feedback and well-qualified trainers.
“The NADSP Review Team would like to congratulate Optimae on this significant achievement and on the high-quality education/training program that the Optimae team is providing for Direct Support Professionals,” said Dan Hermreck, NADSP’s director of certification and accreditation, when notifying Mackey of the NADSP review team’s decision. “The Review Team was especially impressed with how well Optimae’s curriculum is aligned with the NADSP Competencies and Code of Ethics.”
In implementing the program, Optimae’s Knowledge Acquisition and Transfer Team has included advisory groups to provide continuous evaluation of the training offered.
“At Optimae, education is one of our four core values, and we’re committed to providing our adult learners with the tools they need to be successful in their service to our communities,” Mackey said. “By aligning our training with NADSP standards and ensuring continuous evaluation of our program content, we provide our employees with research-based best practices, helping them to be confident in their role.”
