At Optimae LifeServices, our mission statement is to be at the side, on the side of those placed in our care. We work diligently to uphold that standard day in and day out, however … we always make sure to take notice of those among our ranks that go above and beyond.
The River of Life Award is bestowed upon those in the Optimae family who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and comfort of those they watch over, and we are proud to bestow this honor onto one such individual.
On Jan. 28, Optimae presented our second River of Life Award to DeeAnn Aguirre-Carrasco in Muscatine. DeeAnn serves as associate director for our Mississippi Bend region.
Last fall, DeeAnn set aside her usual duties to quarantine for two weeks with a non-verbal customer who had tested positive for COVID-19. She has since stepped in for other situations as needed.
Upon receiving the award during a virtual meeting, DeeAnn was quick to mention that she views her award as a shared honor with the entire Mississippi Bend staff. She also thanked Optimae for the opportunity to become part of the family eighteen years ago when Optimae (then known as ResCare) began managing Muscatine County’s residential care facilities and community-based services.
Congratulations, DeeAnn, and to the entire Mississippi Bend team!
